Reach Bodywork Studio - Bloomfield Hills
The 2020 expansion of Reach Bodywork Studio into Bloomfield Hills, Michigan showcases a space that builds on the design elements of its Ann Arbor location and signature branding with sleek luminous accents.
In 2018, Synecdoche worked collaboratively with Reach to establish a branding package for the company that also informed Synecdoche’s design of the Ann Arbor location. The design for the Bloomfield Hills location continues the same color palette, spatial organization and custom-fabricated furniture to strengthen brand identity between locations.
The Synecdoche team introduced linear strip lights along the walls and the center of the space. Running continuous the entire length of the space, the lights portray ideas of visual movement and an electrified experience.
The overall design intent was to create an studio in which bodies are not compared for their ability and people are instead in conversation about their mobility goals.
